Author's Notes: Happy Christmas,
katmillia! You're unbelievable. I adore you to pieces and hope that your holiday season, year to come, and well, life in general, is full of love and laughter. Thank you so much for being there for me and making me smile. I hope you enjoy this, but if not feel free to throw rotten tomatoes at me.
Ginny sat in the empty stands of the Hogwart's Quidditch field watching the snow fall. She pulled her cloak tighter and sighed.
"Ginny?"
She jumped at the sound of her name. Turning slightly she saw Luna sit down beside her. "Hi," she whispered her greeting.
"Hello, Ginny... What's wrong?" Luna never minced words; she just said everything in a dreamy voice that made people think her head was in the clouds. She was actually quite intuitive and intelligent.
Ginny shrugged. "Nothing."
"Ginny, please don't evade my question."
"I'm not, Luna. There's just nothing wrong." Ginny tried to force feign calmness in her voice. The truth was everything was wrong.
Luna sighed, staring off in space like she always did. "You're not crazy you know."
Ginny looked at her sideways feeling confused by her friend’s words. "What?"
"You're not crazy. He is an attractive man."
"Who is?"
"Draco Malfoy."
The name hung in the air between the friends for a moment as Ginny's heart leapt in her throat. She felt her face reddening to her chagrin. "What'd you say?" she asked in a low voice.
For a moment Luna's wistful expression fell from her face showing how typical the girl really was. A moment later, her faraway stare was back in place. "Draco Malfoy."
"What does he have to do with me?"
"Don't be defensive. I know. I've seen you two. Together. In the corridor hiding."
Ginny forced a laugh. "That's ridi--"
"Ginny, I'm not stupid. I saw you two." Luna stood up and looked down at Ginny. "You're not crazy. There's something more to Draco Malfoy and I hope you find out what."
After her friend left her, Ginny continued to stare out as the snow fell creating a white blanket on the field. She knew Luna was right.
