1. No one knew that Zacharias used to watch Daphne from across the Great Hall, except Daphne herself. She watched him when she knew he wasn't watching her. She tried as hard as she could to not let their eyes meet, but she always failed.



2. Not many people knew that, at first, Daphne rejected Zacharias, but she grew wary of turning him down and finally accepted one date. One night was all that he needed to sweep her off her feet.



3. Daphne and Zacharias shared their first kiss in the rain as the fans cleared out of the stands and the Quidditch players left the field.



4. Daphne knew no matter how hard he tried he'd never make the Quidditch team, but she didn't have the heart to tell him.



5. Daphne never admitted her deep dark secret to anyone, but she couldn't hide it from Zacharias when he found her dancing to Britney Spears in her room one night.



6. Zacharias knew that Daphne was better than the petty insults and thoughtless words she threw out when she was with her friends, because when they were alone, she was thoughtful and sweet.



7. The first present that Zacharias ever received from Daphne was a yellow and green striped scarf.



8. Though he tried to hide it, Daphne saw two glaring characteristics of the Hufflepuff house in Zacharias: loyalty and work ethic.



9. Daphne always denied it, but she really liked it when Zacharias called her "Queenie." She always felt like he treated her like a queen so it felt appropriate.



10. Zacharias was actually the first one to say "I love you," and Daphne lied by telling she didn't love him in response. When she finally said the words to him, he told her to knock on wood, because that's what he wanted and after she lied, he didn't want the words anymore.



11. Daphne never felt genuine jealousy until she saw Zacharias dancing with that twit, Pansy, at a party a week after their breakup.



12. Zacharias had asked Pansy to dance on purpose. He'd known Daphne would see them and he could see her true feelings in the brief moment before she put her guard up and pretended she didn't care. And Pansy would have fun playing games with Daphne, because everyone knew of Pansy's hatred towards Daphne since Hogwarts.



13. Daphne was never humble, so her coming to Zacharias and saying she was sorry, confessing her love, and then leaving the decision up to him was just one more time she amazed him. At first, he told her that he didn't love her anymore, but after some wooing on her part, he had fallen harder than the first time, and by the look in her eyes, he knew she had too.



14. Zacharias promised Daphne the world when she accepted his marriage proposal, but all she wanted was him. He was her world.



15. Zacharias always said he thought Daphne looked most beautiful when she was just coming out of the shower, naked and wrapped in a towel.



16. When Daphne told Zacharias she was pregnant, he acted indifferent until he saw the disappointment in her eyes, then he laughed and swung her around in his arms until she told him to stop.



17. Daphne never told Zacharias how proud she was that he was father of her children, and how happy she was when her children were sorted into Hufflepuff instead of Slytherin.



18. Daphne was thankful each and every time Zacharias returned after a mission. But she was shell-shocked and dropped to her knees when a different man came to her house instead bringing the news that no wife ever wants to hear.



19. Daphne made sure the words "loving husband and father" was engraved on the headstone to Zacharias' grave.



20. After Zacharias died Daphne found it hard to sleep in the bed they had shared, so she went out and bought new one. But she still couldn't seem to sleep in the new bed either.
