Yuki had always perferred the western term of "fall" instead of autumn. It had a cold, hard feeling to it. He felt it was very fitting to that time of year.

Every autumn, when the school year started, he felt as if he was falling like the leaves. Falling into the mess of people. He liked to be kept grounded, and having to interact was one of his ways. But that doesn't mean he had to like seeing the other people hugging, being close, and just doing everything he couldn't.

Yuki could swear he was falling every time autumn came.

Nice work. I considered using "fall" literally too. This is really well constructed. Good characterization! Keep up the good work!
