Hermione leaned out of the storeroom. She looked both ways and saw no one, so she slid out. She closed the door silently, looking over her shoulder as she did.
She crept across the empty room. She opened the door with extreme caution. No one was coming down the dark hallways.
She slid out of the door without opening it any farther than she had to. She pulled the door behind herself and leaned against it.
"Miss Granger, what are you doing coming out of my classroom?" Severus' voice asked as his form emerged from the shadows.
She was caught!

Severus looked at her with his black eyes and she felt her breath quicken. Both from the fact she was caught and the fact they were alone.
"Miss Granger?" he prompted as his cold eyes tried to read her.
"Professor Granger," she said straightening up.
"I don't have to call you Professor, do I?" he asked sardonically.
"Well then. Hermione."
"Miss Granger--"
"I said Hermione," she interjected.
He eyed her. "What were you doing in my classroom?"
She held up a folder. "The grades."
"I was going to send them in the morning."
"I grew impatient."
"Is that right?"

"Why were you in my classroom?" he repeated.
"The grades." She waved the folder gently.
He grabbed the folder from her hand and looked at her. "What were you really doing in my classroom?"
"Severus--"
"Mr. Snape," he interjected.
"Mr. Snape... or should it be Professor?" she asked sarcastically.
"Oh it doesn't matter. As long as what follows is a real explanation of why you were in my classroom? Potions ingredients perhaps?"
"I happen to be a grown witch, Snape. I can get my own potion ingredients."
"So you admit to going in my private stores during your schooldays?"

"I'm not admitting to anything," she answered pointedly, hoping she didn't sound as guilty as she felt. She turned and started to walk down the hallway without another word.
"Forgetting something?" his slightly amused voice came from behind her.
She stopped in her tracks and realized he still had the folder. She quickly swung around and sharply grabbed the out stretched folder. "Thank you. Next time, don't make me come after the grades."
"Don't come after them early then," he shot back casually.
She shrugged purposely. "Procrastination doesn't suit a Professor."
"Sneaking into another professor's classroom doesn't suit one either."
