iyfic_contest. My first ever InuYasha fanfiction. Reviews make me happy.
Summary: Rin comtemplates about how age is just a number.
Age is just a number, Rin thought as she was lying on her back in the grass trying to fall asleep.
Sesshomaru stood a few feet from her looking into the distance. By his appearance he could no more than 19, like her, but he was actually so much older than that. Hundreds of years older.
It’s been ten years since he had saved her life and taken her a ward, and she no longer needed a guardian. He was savior; he was her friend. She no longer needed him as a guardian but only as a protector and someone to rely on. She needed him as a campanion.
The moon hung bright and high in the sky, above the tress and Sesshomaru looked as though he was staring at it. He was probably planning his empire. He treated her like she had her human limitations, yet he never truly treated as if she was below him as he did must humans. She suspected it was because she had shown him such loyalty at such an early age.
She couldn't, honestly, imagine her life without him.
At 19, she was a woman. Most women her age were married with families, but she was still following around Sesshomaru.
