Rin leaned back on the grass, staring up at the dark sky.
"Rin?" Hatsuharu whispered into the wind.
Closing her eyes, she acknowledged him with, "Hmm?"
"Do you see the moon?"
"Yeah."
"It looks so far away—"
"It is far away."
"No it's not. It's right there." Haru reached upward and extended his fingers toward the globe hanging in the sky. "You can almost touch it."
Rin smiled. Nonsense, she thought.
"Will you go to the moon with me?"
Rin laughed. "No. I don't think Akito would agree."
"Damn Akito," he muttered, his hand reaching out and seeking hers.

"You are my god. And I serve only you," Shigure said calmly, bowing his head.
"Do not mock me!"
"Mock you? Never!"
"Get the girl out of your house!"
"You gave her permission to stay," Shigure pointed out, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall casually.
"Kick her out!"
"Where will she go?"
"What do I care?"
"What if I say I care?"
"Shigure-san, do not test me. I am God. You must obey me."
Shigure sighed and cupped her face in his hand gently. "All I do, I do it for you."

Kyo closed his eyes, hating himself.
Tohru only wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close. "Kyo, don't. Don't go. Don't leave me," she begged. He could feel her tears on his neck.
He remained silent, not wanting to move away but not knowing what to say.
"Don't leave me."
She took his hand and he felt her gently put his beads back on his wrist. Slowly his body morphed back to his normal cat form.
"Don't leave me," she repeated.
Kyo finally turned to her. Her brown eyes showed her heart shining back at him. Her pure heart.
