He wanted to see the fire in her eyes again. All he wanted was that all-consuming passion of hers in her eyes.
He wanted to see her try to act calm and unscathed while her eyes shot fire. He wanted to see that passion that he fell in love with. He wanted to see her light up with excitement over any subject.
He wanted to see that fiery passion that made her a formidable force to deal with but a pleasure to have in bed.
But all he saw when he looked in her eyes was a lifeless, passionless abyss.
