I was normal and average; there was nothing special about me.
I was an only child and happy to go outside to play. Before Hogwarts, of course, I had playmates and not friends.
Before Hogwarts I wasn't a bookworm; I had nothing to prove. I was just a regular child who played, went to school (a normal Muggle school, too), and had to go to dinners with my parents' friends I really didn't want to attend.
I was thinking of proms, not Yule Balls.
Before I heard about Hogwarts, I was nothing special.
But it all changed with that letter.
