Breathless with eyes wide open
Trying to summon bravery and compassion
With one foot in the dark grave
There's a lack if strength and passion
To straddle the welcoming abyss
With a strangely beautiful balancing act
With the ugly weight of the things missed
And the burdens of what was lost
