Ginny's laughter echoed throughout the house, making Molly pause as she was making dinner. Coming to the doorway of the kitchen, she saw that Arthur had lifted her on his back in a piggyback ride and was carrying her from room to room.
"Arthur, be careful!" she warned her husband as he almost collided with the twins who were running around under toe like they had nothing better to do. Well, she thought to herself, It's certainly better than them making trouble.
Ginny's small hands hung to her father's neck, an expression of pure delight on her face. "Yes, Molly dear!" he called to her. She wasn't sure if he meant what he said or if he'd even heard her, but decided, now that the danger had passed, it was best to let it go. "Ginny, hold tight."
He was grinning like a fool, his tiresome day at work forgotten now. Suddenly, he ran to the couch, stopped and threw his back backward, letting his daughter fall to the cushioned couch in a fit of giggles. Her husband straightened back up and turned to Molly, "Do you want a piggyback ride now?" he teased, his brown eyes flashing with pure mischief and suggestion.
"Maybe later," Molly called back, grinning herself. "For now, you and the kids need to wash up for dinner."
Arthur nodded in a reply, turning back to his daughter who had started to calm down and said, "Ginny, go wash up. Dinner's ready."
Molly's only daughter jumped to her feet. "Okay, Dad! I'll tell Ron and the twins, too!" She dashed out of the room, leaving Molly and Arthur alone for a moment.
"Where's Bill and Charlie?"
"London," Molly answered, going from her spot at the doorway to stand before her husband. Arthur didn't last a moment to gently pull her against his chest and slid his hands through her hair happily. "Seeing Bill is graduating in two years, I thought it would be okay if the two of them go to London by themselves."
Arthur kissed his wife's forehead and said, "Of course it's okay."
"You know," Molly said absently as she trailed her finger down his clothed chest, "I just might have to take you up on the piggyback ride later."
He chuckled. "It would be my pleasure, Mollywobbles."
