Summary: Ginny has to separation anxiety about Harry leaving her...

Ginny Weasley bit her lip, trying to keep the words she longed to say from escaping. He had to do this. Harry had to leave her. It was what he wanted – no had to do. He'd never be able to be fight if he thought Ginny was in danger. She closed her eyes, trying to gather her thoughts.

She wanted to be supportive. She wanted to fake understanding. She wanted him to hear the words he needed to hear, but never of them came out.

At least she didn't cry. She'd give herself that much credit.

But she didn't say what she should have.

She just walked away and headed back to her dorm. She just wanted to be alone, to think, to feel without Harry watching her and reading her every thought that crossed her face. She didn't want this. She wanted him, but she knew it wouldn't work that way.

He was a hero. He had to be that hero – for himself, for her, for everyone.

And she wasn't going to be the one to stop him. But it didn't make anything easier. She wanted to run back to him, throw her arms around him and tell him not to go.

"Don't leave me! I love you!" she wanted to tell him, but she couldn't. She wouldn't allow herself.

She'd be here when he came back, and despite her separation anxiety, she knew he'd come back. He had to come back.

She didn't know what she'd do if he didn't come back. He was perfect. He was hers, and he'd always be hers even when he wasn't with her.

She'd never give up on him completely. She couldn't. He was in her heart. He was on her mind constantly. He was hers, and that's all that mattered.

"He'll be alright," she told herself in a whisper. He's strong. He's practically invincible.

Without her knowledge her feet had carried her to her dorm. Her four-post bed looked welcoming as she collapsed on it, allowing herself to give into the tears that she had been suppressing. The mattress sank a bit under her weight, but it was soft and warm as she pulled the covers up and huddle down in its warmth.

Harry would come back. Harry had to come back. Everyone, including Ginny, was counting on him to come back in one piece. The world couldn't survive another loss, because he was gone, the world had no hope left. They would all fall prey to Voldemort's power like she had in her first year when Voldemort was in the form of a diary.

Harry had saved her then. Ginny knew, deep in her heart, he'd save her now. This wasn't the end.

It was just a break. That's all. A simple break that would soon end. Because he'd be back in her arms before she knew it.

"Come back to me, Harry. After you settle things – live your destiny, come back to me. I'll be waiting," she whispered into the empty room, knowing he couldn't hear her request. "I love you."
