Title: (Cigarette)
Author's Notes: All my poems, they are not fanic. They are personal.

I remember sitting on the bench
Sometimes I was alone
Sometimes someone else was there
But I was too busy to care
Now everything is different
It feels strange and alien
Like a foreign place I've never been
I feel like I'm caught in a tailspin
The taste isn't the same
It's all acid and smoke now
Before I used to savor the flavor
Now there seems to be nothing to savor
I can smell it on my hands
My fingers tinged with the smoke
It even feels different to hold
I wonder if I'll ever be able to be bold
And to put this thing down
I don't need it anymore
But something calls from a distance
With a reluctant assistance
To hold me in its grips
Just a little while longer
Until I can finally let go
I just need to get back in the flow
